Yichang Tea Group Fuses Tradition and Innovation at China-Africa Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum

On November 7, the 2024 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum, hosted by the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province and Hubei Provincial People’s Government, opened in Wuhan. Nearly 800 guests worldwide gathered to explore opportunities for China-Africa innovation and collaboration. During the event, Yihong Black Tea Made a Stunning Display as Part of the Tea Break Service, offering guests a taste of China’s rich tea culture while promoting Yichang Tea Group’s renowned tea products.

At the opening ceremony, Sun Jun—former Deputy Director of the Research Office of Hubei Provincial People’s Government and Advisor to the Hubei Tea Association—used the launch of the book Yihong Black Tea as a platform to advocate for expanding the influence of this beloved tea variety. He highlighted its potential to reach more Belt and Road countries, particularly Africa, with its rich aroma and refined taste.

The book Yihong Black Tea, the first monograph in the Belt and Road: The Great Tea Route series, was edited by Sun and compiled by the Yichang Tea Industry Group. This cultural masterpiece, paired with a curated selection of premium teas, was presented as a special gift to forum attendees. The gift set featured Baoshunhe Yihong Congou Tea, known for its award-winning quality.

The event seamlessly blended literature and tea, capturing the interest of African guests who eagerly sampled the flavors of Yihong Congou Tea. Yichang Tea’s R&D team also showcased Yivana export green tea, specially crafted to suit African tastes, which received enthusiastic feedback. Other popular teas, including Yichang Maojian Tea, Baoshunhe Green Tea, Yuan’an Yellow Tea, and Zhaojun White Tea, also drew significant attention and inquiries.

With a rich history of exporting Yihong Congou Tea, Yichang Tea Group leveraged the forum to enhance its market presence by utilizing Angel Yeast’s extensive distribution network. This initiative not only expanded the global footprint of Yihong Congou Tea but also promoted the Yichang Five-Color Tea culture and its international trade, leaving a lasting impression on global guests.
